Dr. Donald Walker
Dr. Donald Walker founded Randolph Eyecare Center in 1977. He is a past president of the Tri-County Society of Optometric Physicians. Dr. Walker is a graduate of Cornell University and received his Doctorate of Optometry with honors from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 1976. In addition to providing eye examinations and treating ocular diseases, he enjoys solving the most challenging contact lens cases. Dr. Walker is married with two children, and is very proud to have his son Richard practicing alongside him at Randolph Eyecare Center. He is an avid outdoorsman and specializes in eye care for the outdoor enthusiast.
Dr. Richard Walker
Dr. Richard Walker is excited to work with his father as the second generation of his family to serve the ocular needs of Northern New Jersey. Dr. Walker is a Board Certified ophthalmologist and completed a fellowship specializing in LASIK and corneal surgery at Albany Medical Center. Prior to that, he served as Chief Resident of Ophthalmology at Interfaith Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. Dr. Walker completed his medical training at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and received his undergraduate degree at Cornell University. Dr. Walker’s work has been published in Cornea, a leading ophthalmology journal, and he has lectured at many conferences on topics including DSAEK corneal transplant surgery and a variety of ophthalmic treatments. Dr. Walker lives in Randolph with his wife and two daughters.
Dr. Laura Perrin
Dr. Laura Perrin joined Randolph Eyecare Center in 1997. She earned her undergraduate degree from Cornell University and her doctorate in optometry with honors from SUNY State College of Optometry in Manhattan. She completed her residency in low vision rehabilitation at West Haven VAMC (Veterans Administration Medical Center) in West Haven, CT. Dr. Perrin is a past president of the Tri-County Society of Optometric Physicians, and served two terms on the board of New Jersey Society of Optometry Physicians. In September 2012, Dr. Perrin achieved Diplomate Status and was board certified by the American Board of Optometry. Dr. Perrin has made several television appearances on cable channel CN8 in Philadelphia to share her insights on eye issues, such as the ocular dangers from tanning salons, the nutritional components of eye health, and children’s vision. She volunteers her time with VOSH International, a US-based organization that sends teams of eye doctors, opticians and support staff to deliver free eye care to the developing world, and she has joined medical teams in Argentina, Honduras, Guatemala, Nicaragua, South Africa, and India. Dr. Perrin takes special interest in treating glaucoma.
Dr. Jill Saxon
Dr. Jill Saxon joined Randolph Eyecare Center in 2009. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Muhlenberg College with a Bachelor of Science, and received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the State University of New York, College of Optometry. She began her career as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy and worked at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, where she had the unique opportunity to examine our nation’s leaders, elected officials, Supreme Court Justices, and the brave men and women of our armed forces. She was specifically responsible for serving the needs of returning injured Iraqi war veterans. While at the National Naval Medical Center, Dr. Saxon distinguished herself as a noted lecturer in the area of optometric practice. As the director of the Low Vision Clinic, she changed the way in which military retirees are served. She was also the coordinator of the Optometry School Externship Program and earned the title of Adjunct Assistant Clinical Professor from SUNY College of Optometry, Pennsylvania College of Optometry, Southern California College of Optometry, and Southern College of Optometry. During her tenure at NNMC, she was awarded numerous letters of commendation and was regarded as a top tier military officer and optometric physician. Dr. Saxon was released from active duty in 2007 and is now a member of the Inactive Ready Reserve. Dr. Saxon is a member of both the Armed Forces Optometric Society and the American Optometric Association. Dr. Saxon grew up in Randolph Township and currently resides there with her husband and three children.
Bob manages Randolph Eyecare Center’s optical division, Optical Options, where he specializes in eye glass prescription analysis and interpretation, as well as determining the lens forms best suited to the wearer’s needs. Bob, a second generation optician, is licensed in the state of New Jersey and is ABU certified. Since joining the field in 1991, Bob has been recognized for his excellent patient care and his business acumen. Prior to joining the industry, Bob served in the U.S. military. He is married to his fellow optician, Spring, and they live in Hackettstown with their son and daughter, Philip and Audrey.
Spring, an optician since 2002, has proudly served Randolph Eyecare Center’s optical practice since 2003. A state of New Jersey licensed and ABO certified optician, Spring has been recognized for her ability to work with patients to find the frames that best suit them, regardless of their budget. Since joining the practice, Spring has dramatically grown the optical selection at Optical Options to include boutique brands such as Gucci and Prada. She continues to make stylish yet affordable options available to cost-conscious consumers. Spring is married to her fellow optician, Bob, and they live in Hackettstown with their son and daughter, Philip and Audrey.
